The youth educational ministry at Camp
Hill Presbyterian Church provides programs for middle school and high school age
youth.
Really
Awesome
Presbyterian Youth a.k.a. RAP YOUTH
is a
program specifically designed for middle school age youth in grades
5 - 8.
Through involvement in educational, mission and social activities, the group
learns what it means to be a Christian in today’s world. This group meets
regularly on Sundays in the Tower Room (stairs from the West
Narthex) from 9:40 to 10:30 AM with
social and mission activities scheduled and announced by the RAP youth advisors.
Presbyterian
Youth Connection
(PYC) is specifically designed for high school
age youth. The group meets on Sunday
mornings at 9:40 AM in the Youth Room. Sunday topics for discussion are geared
toward the social, emotional and spiritual needs of those youth in grades 9
through 12. Social and
mission are also an
important part of this groups activities.
CONFIRMATION TRAINING, a
part
of the offering for eighth or ninth graders, prepares youth to answer the question, "Who is my Lord and Savior?"
The programs involves monthly
classes and a mentor for one-on-one
involvement with youth as they explore their faith and define a personal
Statement of Faith.
MISSION TRIPS
- Each summer middle and/or
high school students may participate in mission trips that are sponsored by our
church. Adults and youth 15 years old and older are welcome to serve as we
build and rehabilitate homes for the elderly, physically challenged and working
poor in rural Maine on the
MATE Trip. Middle and
high school students often attend a week long community service focused mission
trip to various parts of the country. Previously, mission trip sites have
included: Niagara Falls; Tennessee; Virginia; and Ohio.
YOUTH SUNDAY
- Each spring the youth of CHPC conduct our Youth Sunday worship services, which
includes Senior Recognition and our annual Youth Musical.
KRISLUND CAMP-
Krislund is the church camp owned by
the 146 churches of Carlisle, Huntingdon and Northumberland
Presbyteries. Krislund has a wide array of summer camp
opportunities for kids in grades K-12, as well as conference and retreat
facilities. CHPC strongly encourages our young people to sign up
for a week (or more) of camp. We have campership funds available
to assist you with the fees - just contact the
church office for more
information.
Please
contact
Pastor Robin Reilly for more
information about any of our youth programs.
