                 Worship at CHPC

Worship is the most important thing we do as a congregation. As a family of believers we are called to set apart time each week to praise, thank and honor God through worship.

CHPC holds similar worship services at 8:30 and 11:00 AM each Sunday during the school year.  From Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day we hold one worship service at 9:30 AM.

Worship includes prayers, the reading of scripture, a special message to the children, the pastor's sermon to interpret the scripture, and music.  Our music is in the form of hymns from the Presbyterian Hymnal, praise songs from a book called Renew, and anthems sung or played by our choirs or guest musicians.  Services begin with a prelude, and end with a postlude - usually played on our magnificent Schantz pipe organ.  Our style is usually what would be called "traditional."  A bulletin is provided for each service to guide worshippers through the service.
